At the DRFZ, scientists are working on interdisciplinary research into inflammatory reactions and rheumatic diseases. They develop innovative technologies and methods, supported by artificial intelligence. By combining basic research with epidemiological and clinical-translational approaches, they create new solutions in biomedical research. Almost 30 interdisciplinary research groups work in four central programme areas and cooperate closely with partners from Charité, TU Berlin, FU Berlin and ZIB. This collaboration promotes the training of scientists and doctors and improves the understanding of biological processes in order to meet the needs of patients.
