Public visibility of the DRFZ

The public relations work at the DRFZ ranges from organising scientific events such as symposia, conferences or special individual events to working closely with patient associations, media representatives and other relevant contacts.

  • The central tasks include the planning and implementation of scientific events such as symposia, conferences and special individual events. These events provide platforms for the exchange of ideas and progress in rheumatism research.
  • Public relations also includes close cooperation with patient associations, media representatives and other relevant contacts. This cooperation brings the concerns and perspectives of those affected into the scientific discussion. On the other hand, it opens up the work of researchers to the public, for example every year at the Long Night of the Sciences. Open laboratories and transparency in everyday research are our contribution to making research understandable.
  • The public relations work of the DRFZ includes maintaining and updating the website, creating print publications and attending various events and congresses. These activities are aimed at both the interested public and colleagues in the field and contribute to the visibility of ongoing research projects.
  • The visualisation of research work also includes the photographic documentation of projects and events. This type of documentation helps to vividly present the scientific activities of the DRFZ and to promote interest in rheumatism research.

In these diverse activities, our public relations work contributes to raising awareness of rheumatological and, in a broader sense, immunological topics and underlines the importance of research in this field.
