In the proof-of-concept study, Julia Polansky aims to test their innovative method of epigenetic editing on hiPSCs. This method enables targeted modification of the cells’ DNA structure and gene expression, allowing their differentiation into functional Tregs for therapeutic applications. The approach builds on the research team’s previous work conducted as part of the ERC Starting Grant project EpiTune.
