Finding causes - developing therapies - improving quality of life
At the DRFZ, researchers are working in a unique way to improve the molecular understanding of inflammatory reactions and rheumatic diseases. Through interdisciplinary collaboration, which is often not possible in conventional institute structures, the institute develops new technologies and methods supported by artificial intelligence. Scientists combine basic research with epidemiological and clinical-translational approaches to create innovative solutions in biomedical research.
Supported by state-of-the-art technology platforms and service groups, almost 30 interdisciplinary research groups are active in three programme areas. They cooperate closely with Charité liaison groups and other academic institutions. This collaboration creates an ideal platform for the training of scientists and physicians, improves the understanding of biological processes and directly addresses the needs of patients.
