Awards at the the German Society for Immunology conference

Approximately 1000 scientists participated in the joint conference of the German Society of Immunology (DGfI) and the Austrian Society of Allergology and Immunology (ÖGAI) from 7^th  to 10^th of September 2022.

Poster Prizes for Victoria von Goetze
Five winning posters were selected from more than 300 on display at the conference. Victoria von Goetze from Hyun-Dong Chang’s group was one of the poster prize winners, with her poster on the “Direct induction of TGF-β signalling by Anaeroplasma, a member of the intestinal microbiota”, which clearly impressed  the selection jury.

Bright Sparks Awards for Christoforos Dimitropoulos
The Bright Sparks Awards went to the most exciting work of 20 young scientists. Christoforos Dimitropoulos from Chiara Romagnani’s group was awarded this prize for his presentation: “The pro-inflammatory role of NKG2D in Experimental Autoimmune Encephalomyelitis (EAE)”.
