Obituary for Erika Gromnica-Ihle † 15 November 2024

We bid farewell to Prof. Dr. Erika Gromnica-Ihle, an outstanding personality who supported the DRFZ for many years as a member of the Board of Trustees. Research at the DRFZ made decisive progress thanks to her valuable contributions.

The rheumatologist and long-standing president of the Deutsche Rheuma-Liga e.V. made a significant contributions to ensuring that research is always been geared towards the well-being of patients. Prof. Dr. Gromnica-Ihle was involved in every World Arthritis Day or the annual Long Night of Science at the DRFZ and was on hand to advise patients.
