Lisa Budzinski wins the 1st Science Slam of the Leibniz PhD Network
Once again Lisa Budzinski from the Schwiete Laboratory for Microbiota and Inflammation has convinced her audience. On 30 April 2021, she won the 1st Science Slam of the nationwide Leibniz PhD Network with her short talk on the microbiota “fingerprint” (Pooprint). The event was streamed via Discord, but there was such a big caudience that not everyone who was interested was able to attend.
Lisa Budzinski has been researching in Hyun-Dong Chang’s group since three years. She studies how the intestinal flora influences the immune system of healthy people and patients with rheumatic or other chronic inflammatory diseases. Lisa is very active in science communication and recently won the Silver Speed Lecture Award at BIONNALE in Berlin on 6 October 2020.
