City Cycling – Cycling for the Climate is a Germany-wide competition in which the aim is to cycle as many everyday journeys as possible in a climate-friendly way for 21 days. The aim of this campaign is to collect kilometres as a team and thus reduce CO2 emissions.
This year, the DRFZ city cyclists travelled an average of 303.8 km. This is 93.8 km more than the Berlin average, which was 210 km per person. The DRFZ team was especially successful, taking 5th place out of a total of 65 Charité teams. All Charité teams together even achieved 4th place in the whole of Berlin. In total, the DRFZ cyclists saved 1109.6 kg of CO2. The colleagues celebrated this success with a non-alcoholic “Radler” and celebrated their achievement.
