DGRh science awards for DRFZ epidemiologists

Two posters from the epidemiology programme area were awarded as the best poster presentation at the German Rheumatology Congress on 21 September 2024.

Martina Niewerth from the group “Paediatric and adolescent rheumatology” received the award in the paediatric rheumatology category for her poster and the corresponding presentation entitled “Care situation of young adults with chronic arthritis”.

Katinka Albrecht and Johanna Callhoff were awarded in the category of Epidemiology and Health Services Research for their poster and presentation entitled “Is rheumatology care different in urban and rural areas? Data from the core documentation of the Regional Cooperative Rheumatology Centers”.

The prizes are endowed with 500 euros each.

The German Rheumatology Congress took place in Düsseldorf from 18.09. – 21.09.2024 Around 3,000 rheumatologists, researchers and patients take part in this event every year. Over four intensive days, topics such as clinical rheumatology, the latest patient care guidelines, clinical research, day-to-day patient care and innovative developments in experimental rheumatology are presented.
